Technology has greatly changed the way we think, communicate, and learn. It has also changed the expectations for our students. Today, it is imperative that students are prepared to be successful in a technological advancing society. This is true in any professional career, and in our personal life. This is can easily be seen in one of the most popular websites today, MySpace. People spend hours on MySpace blogging; reading and writing for the sake of discussion. Why not utilize this popular habit–no, better yet, skill– with education? If the internet has become a common standard in our student’s lives, why not direct the way we teach through this popular medium? Blogging is a method of communication that is ideal to promote these skills while also promoting literacy and writing.
